Erection and Comissioning of Equipment and machineries ( FAT and SAT) Experience is must. iii. Experiences in preparing Work Instructions & Procedures for Maintenance Team. iv. Extensive knowledge of Scheduling and prioratising of jobs is necessary.Inventory control of spares will be part of his job. v. Prior work experience in multi-culture environment is preferred. vi. Excellent communication and writing skills of English is required. 3. Key Competencies – i. Business Focus – Thorough understanding of Petrochemical Plant Operations and it’s challenges. ii. Knowledge of Electrical Area classification based on characteristics of Gases and liquids handled and it’s safety factors. iii. Leadership – Leadership empowerment with good Team direction and ensure full focus on Goals.Delivery under pressure working conditions maintaining harmonic atmosphere and sharing of decision making to build ownership and responsibility. iv. Technical Expertise – A detailed knowledge and understanding of Electrical Equipments and Machineries in a Petrochemical Plant. v. Communication – Excellent written and spoken communication skills. vi. Cultural Awareness – Easy to adopt and understand the cultural diversity with relation to workforce in Nigeria. vii. Safety , Environment & Health – Extensive  knowledge of Risk,Safety & Environment legislation and standards. Proven track record of complying those and a champion of “ Incident free Maintenance ”.

 Job Description
Primary Purpose of the job : i. He will head the Team of Engineers and Technicians working  on 24 hrs basis in Electrical Department. His main role will be a hardcore Electrical  system expertise who will keep constant touch with Operation group to ensure t hat no loss of Production takes place due to failure of Electrical  system/ Equipments. He will guide and direct Engineers and Technicians working in shifts as well as in Day on 24hrs basis. His knowledge and expertise specifically in Electrical system, ESD systems , Operational Safety factors will guarantee Plant operational continuity. ii. He will analyse health of Electrical system/Equipments by tools , alarm sequences to predict Electrical Machinery behavior using on line records / physical measurements and will help/ guide Production team in reaching conclusions. iii. Manpower planning and optimization is one of the basic requirement for the position. iv. His target will be to achieve no down time due to Electical system/Equipments failures. v. He will keep Maintenance Manager updated on regular basis regarding problem areas and system limitations. vi. He will provide all inputs to Maintenance Manager in deciding / planning and scheduling Preventive and Corrective maintenances. vii. He will co-ordinate on day to day basis with Production Department regarding scheduled and unscheduled maintenance jobs and Plant priorities to ensure continuity of Plant Operations. He will report to Maintenance Manager any needed urgent action for attention of Production Manager. viii. On day to day basis he will mark the jobs to be listed for Turn Around and will keep Maintenance Manager updated on it. ix. He will provide all inputs to Maintenance Manager regarding Technical compulsions for Turn Around.

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria re-commissioned the new privatised and revitalised EPCL on 12 October 2006. \r\n\r\nThe plant is situated on 400 hectares of land and potential expansion capabilities are well catered to in the layout design.
