Position Description:
The CMT/Comms BPM OD lead will be responsible for creating new content and enhancing existing content in our client’s Comms Industry BPM Reference Models, capability development support and providing sales support. He/she will also be responsible for working with the EHT and M&E OD Leads to prioritize shared team support and to ensure they are developing assets consistently and are sharing best practices.
The Comms OD lead will work seamlessly with the central BPM CoE, understanding all current and upcoming developments and efficiently leveraging and proactively influencing this for the benefit of the Industry BPM team. The OD lead will also identify asset quality and maturity improvements opportunities in the Industry BPM repository and drive process repository enhancements and maintenance. It is expected that the Comms OD lead will work with the client teams, offering leads, and industry SMEs to harvest and align content.
The OD lead will report directly to the central BPM CoE lead and will dotted line report to the High Comms Industry Program Manager.
Responsibilities include:
Driving the Communications Industry BPM asset development, harvesting and maintenance.
Providing BPM sales support for comms industry client teams including:
Qualifying which assets would be most relevant for the client team to leverage
Articulating how the assets can be used to provide value and how we have used them on previous projects
Developing materials(eg power point or word) for client proposals to illustrate the BPM leading practices in the context of the client opportunity
Presenting and running client demos of the assets and helping the client team to articulate how they can provide value and benefit to the client
The OD lead is responsible for running a strong and effective Knowledge Harvesting program working with the Industry client projects teams. This would require the candidate to have a close connect with the project teams, ensure client SE sign offs for knowledge harvesting, content sanitization, design and implement the BPM asset / content upgrades based on the harvested content
Work closely with the central BPM CoE team to ensure that the Industry BPM program is well entrenched and aligned with the CoE’s efforts around standards creation, Governance, Asset development etc
The candidate also needs to have a close connect with the CIO team to support the BPM IT requirements of the Industry BPM team.
Providing support for the Industry Capability development efforts, this includes leading efforts like maintenance of KX pages, coordination of Industry BPM PoVs and white papers, Facilitating Industry BPM community blogs and newsletters.
Create a close knit community of the Industry BPM practitioners to ensure that there is a larger participation and cross collaboration of the BPM efforts and deliverables across the Industry BPM practitioners
Lead content specific training development initiatives including development of hands on class exercises.
Serve as a trusted advisor to, and partner closely with, entity business leaders and the BPM practitioners in addressing and meeting the evolving needs of the Industry.
Work with sponsors to define specific strategy according to the business/market demands, priorities, and our clinets strategies.
Standardize the industry’s processes of planning, reporting, and process mapping by supplying appropriate templates
Report progress against strategic objectives and priorities to leadership
Budget maintenance and allocation for the team
Lead a team of 5-8 resources. Responsible for the career development and team management, including, but not limited to, on boarding, performance management, employee engagement, training and retention programs
Basic Qualification:
MBA or equivalent experience with an overall experience of 10+ years
10+ years working with Communications Service Provider Operational Processes specifically in the customer and network operations areas.
Experience with eTOM, and familiarity with TAM and ITIL
2+ years experience with BPM consulting, Asset Development, Process Design, Process Engineering and Content Creation including hands on exposure to the prevalent BPM tool & practices and BPM methodologies that can be leveraged for the Industry BPM program
7+ years of project management experience, People Management & Development

The OD lead will work seamlessly with the central BPM CoE, understanding all current and upcoming developments and efficiently leveraging and proactively influencing this for the benefit of the Industry BPM team. The OD lead will also identify asset quality and maturity improvement opportunities in the Industry BPM repository, and drive process repository enhancements, harvesting and maintenance. It is expected that the OD lead will work across the EHT Industry segments, SMEs and client teams to identify and execute asset advancement opportunities.
