With over 350 physicians using Cerner extensively, the hospital requires a resource with strong clinical background and knowledge of all Cerner solutions used by physician’s requirement are addressed properly and effective. He will coordinate between physicians from different clinical specialties and lead their support activities. He will also manage and deliver training of new physicians. Thorough understanding of use of PowerNote Physicians, and clinica documentation in general is required, together with excellent communication and planning skills. An appreciation patients billing concepts and charged services would be an advantage
3-4 yrs 4.7 PACS Technical Administrator (1 Resources) 4-6 yrs
The PACS Technical Administrator’s role is to perform all related activities for supporting the hospitals and associated clinics’ Picture Archiving and Communication System ( PACS) from a technical viewpoint. This includes diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PACS associated hardware and software, while ensuring its optimal performance.
Responsibilities also include: • Bachelor degree in Computer Scence or Information System is a minimum requirement.
• Communicate with end users to determine PACS needs, technical requirements, and functional specifications.
• Assist in the development of operating standards, policies, and procedures.
• Define and manage service level agreements
• Establish the PACS’ compliance with applicable laws and regulations ( JCIA) as defined by SEHA
• Maintain PACS equipment inventory, contracts, service history, maintenance history, and capacity planning.
• Liaise with modality vendor and service providers during all negotiations, installations, implementations, and servicing visits.
• PMP ( Project Management Professional ) Certification is highly valued.
• Minimum of one year experience in supporting PACS.
• Excellent technical knowledge of image capture and archiving technologies
• Cerner Millennium radiology applications experience is highly valued.
• Hand-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience with HIT system
• Good Knowledge of network protocols, data transfer systems, and storage methods.
• Ability to conduct research into medical imaging issues and products as required.
• Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
• Strong knowledge of applicable documents retention and copyright laws.
• Familiarity with project management techniques and procedures. 4.8 Cerner Hardware Engineer ( 2 Resources ) 2-3 yrs The roles of these engineers will include supporting the installation, configuration and maintenance of equipment for the Cerner 724 Downtime system, Lab MDI, as well as re-configuring PCs, HP laser printers and Zebra label printers. The candidate should have adequate skills and professional qualification to perform the following tasks. • Installing and configuring computer hardware and software
• Setting up and configuring medical device interface (MDI) equipment ( Including Terminal Servers and Interface Cable ) and interfacing them with PCs as well with medical devices.
• Setting up, deployment and testing of Cerner 724 backup system & business continuity system, including setting up UPS devices
• Troubleshooting (network operating system, MS-office, hardware and peripherals).
• Relocate or moves existing equipment as required
• Managing IP address allocations and synchronization with datacenter information
• Installing cabling, hardware / software, creating, updating and maintaining all desktops/laptops and other IT resources.
• Computer resources management including surveying, registering, tracking movement of equipment.
• Assists in providing on-the-job training for any user (s)
• Work with the procurement team to coordinate the effective and timely supply and distribution of IT consumables/peripherals
• Reporting any misuse of IT Equipment to the operation head to take the suitable action.
• Using Window Active Directory to create new accounts, emails, reset password and give privilege as per policy 4.9 Cerner Technical Team Leader ( 1 Resources) 4-6 yrs
The duties of the Cerner Technical Team Leader / Project Manager will include all the responsibilities of the Cerner Hardware Engineer stated above, as well as managing a team of 3-6 engineers, and reporting to the Cerner Site/ Operational Manager. He may also be involved in the following activities: • Infrastructure planning
• Allocation of resources and manpower to provide services required by IT users.
• Coordination of the activities of the IT engineering team members
• Continually evaluate infrastructure risks that could impact the services
• Consultation on technical matters relating to integration and interfacing
• Progress review, including participation in formal technical reviews.
• Coordination and follow-up with Contractor support contracts.
• Coordinate and set up Computer Support Operations
• Project planning & monitoring 4.10 Billing & Charge Services Specialist ( 1 Resources ) 2 yrs
Currently the Hospital is using an in-house application based on MS Great Plains for patient billing. This has been developed by SEHA and it’s integrated with Cerner for invoice generation and claims processing. The candidate is required to support users of this system and have thorough knowledge of hospital billing, current interfaces and insurance claim processing.
