Main function of the job:
Working with the India Hub Manager managing the Barclays Mumbai portfolio across Barclays Corporate & NBFC. This role ensures the delivery of a cost-effective, client focused service. Having specific responsibility for office service delivery pan India. This role is accountable for the vendor service delivery and designing an appropriate vendor support model, together with the creation of an appropriate in-house team to supplement and manage service supply. Correctly structuring the in-house and vendor teams will be key to delivering cost effective solutions to the firm therefore up-to-date knowledge of marketplace conditions and key players will be essential to this role.
Main duties
Responsibilities: Operational Management
• Manage risk in a proactive manner, analyse and plan to mitigate risk via effective documented tools and processes eg. PRAs, Risk Registers, RCAs etc
? Provide accountability and ownership and ensure services are appropriately delivered

• Ensure Cross Cluster Knowledge sharing & Support with Co Staff.
• Incorporate & Implement best practices across clusters. Strategy and Direction
• Focus on best-practice and value engineering to reduce cost base
• Translate strategy and standards into a deliverable service model.
• Provide input into strategic development of service needs for these areas, working closely with Procurement to maximise opportunities and ensuring consistency.
• Influence the shape of the CRES business plan for these services.
• Support service development by identifying developments which enhance operational productivity and financial efficiency. Stakeholder Management
• Maintain effective relationships with business users, vendors and colleagues
• Develop relationships with all stakeholders including senior business managers and users
• Communicate, influence and gain buy-in from business management on changes to how services are delivered.
• Act as an ambassador for CRES with the business.
Interface with other infrastructure departments
• Ensure coordinated delivery with others services across the support infrastructure
• Ensure policy and compliance is robustly managed and procedure is followed and regularly audited.
• Liaison with the other infrastructure teams to make sure the overall service delivery is efficient and maximised Vendor Management
• Procure services ensuring adequate market and benchmark knowledge across the industry in line with procurement governance and standards
• Build long term strategic partnerships with vendors
• Instigate risk and reward programs with key vendors
• Develop quality documentation around key contracts including, KPI’s , SLA’s, Minutes, review process and value added by vendor beyond the contract
Financials and MI
• Deliver services within agreed budget parameters and within the strategy and standards set by the head of services
• Financial management of all relevant areas including items where budget sits elsewhere in the organization (e.g. Pubs and Subs)
• Develop and review trends analysis to build growth plans
• Regularly measure and report on operational performance, service, volumes and trends in all areas of this business, maximising the use of KPI’s and SLA’s).
People Management
• Manage and develop team to maximize value and productivity
• Provide leadership and set standards for CRES and outsourced staff
• Coach and ensure appropriate development opportunities are given to staff to ensure they are supported to deliver
• Promote research of best practice and self development
Job Specific Knowledge and Expertise
Direct responsibility including but not limited to:
Contracts Management:
• Building Maintenance – ensuring that standards of maintenance throughout the buildings are kept at an agreed high standard. Managing (including Audit) of PPMs and reactive maintenance logs to achieve this.
• Churn management – maintain standards of service for office moves and changes at high level with due attention to global office guidelines and space management
• Reception & Pantry services –

• Mail room/ logistics –
• Cleaning – standards and operating procedures, operating hours.
• Vending service - operating hours, services offered, pricing policy and implementation, operational procedures and implementation of quality service levels, equipment procurement, hygiene controls.
• Stationery procurement - operating standards & procedures, stationery catalogue selection, exception approval process.
• Publications management - operating standards & procedures, approval process, subscriptions, co-ordination with IBD Market Intelligence and renewals management. Additional responsibility
• Managing Standards and Housekeeping – management of tidy workplace policy, liaison with business users, audits to maintain policy. Inspections of high profile areas
• Active participation on the ‘Environmental Working group’ and reporting / supporting of environmental performance within the function as required
• Asset management – asset registers and audit, repairs and maintenance, valuation, business user requests, management and control.
• Responsible for Landlord liaison – maintain interface, manage service levels and gain approvals.
• Management of rent, rates and service charges of all BarCap India property to ensure financials, requirements and deliverables are met by all relevant parties
