Responsibilities would include:
Prepare the IR dept. budget for the plant as per the needs -Ensure compliance to all applicable labour laws -Direct the development and administration of programmes for employee communications and for promotion of community relations -Build and maintain productive relationships with the workmen’s representative committees/unions , participate in wage negotiations and ensure long term settlement & it\'s implementation -Ensure grievance handling for the workmen and staff -Collect and maintain updated employee information and provides requisite employee details to concerned personnel based on guidelines -Prepare all documentation related to statutory compliances and maintain documents related to the department (E.g. training records, personnel files, etc.) -Liaise with the government bodies on labour and administration and ensure compliance to all labour related requirements for company and contract employees -Administer welfare/benefit schemes for employees. Manage the Employee benefits trust -Ensure appropriate salary administration process after reconciliation of attendance data
Manage disciplinary actions and court matters -Maintain discipline in the organization -Oversee activities related notices of holidays, downward communication -Initiate disciplinary actions in case of misconduct, conduct enquiries and award punishments -Attend court hearings and reciprocate as per the developments
Manage contract labour / floating labour / finishing school students -Draft new agreements with service providers -Monitor floating manpower and its requirements -Ensure legal compliance with respect to contract labour
-Ensure manpower availability and retention in line with plant needs -Co ordinate to facilitate delivery of training programs -Ensure Safety related training to, staff level employees including apprentice and workmen -Interact with government and internal auditors Execute the role of the appointing and punishing authority under all acts Interact with legal and IR consultants on different matters Review quarterly legal compliances/ exception report of all locations. Deal with external unions and organizations Perform the role of a people manager for the team Ensure compliance with Statutory guidelines especially with relation to Industrial Acts and Labour Laws. Assist in preparation of the short and long term manpower plans for all as per requirement. Ensure compliance with various labour regulations, including ESI Act, Factories Act, etc Ensure compliance of social Audits manage Plant legal compliances. General Administration (Security, Transport etc.).
